It’s humiliating when men take undue and unfair advantage over women. It shames and mortifies when exploited, in whatsoever way. It is like a wound inflicted and lacerated.
But, it is fortunate to have hope of finding men who are protective and trustful, rather than exploitative. Startled to find one such man. Just wondering how consistently meticulous and cautious he should have been to maintain such credulity and trustfulness. How self-disciplined (not pretending to be so to impress others, but be truly one) he has to be to resist the “temptations”. It is notable that he isn’t a man of loyal blood, not an intellectual, not highly educated, not rich enough, not very educated, not a man of great place/ position, not wealthy though... but a man of splendid and sublime qualities. It seemed as though the aura of security which women have felt with men of their own family, was as well felt with him. It was such a wondrous feeling to observe a stranger, as he was genuine with absolutely no constraint to impress me. Despite being young, good-looking, and influenced; his character stood deservedly good. Whatever was entrusted to him wasn’t swindled. He faithfully allowed the women to have their honour and dignity.
I pondered. Then what exactly do we expect from a man? When do we find a man adorable? Not when they are rich, wise, knowledgeable, handsome... but when they show reverence to a fellow being.
Such rare men as divine and godly as they are, provide a sanctuary as truly as we find in the Lord himself.
